Why am I cheaper than other tours ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 86s and the GT-R35s are me and Hikos daily drives.
This is not my living. I do this to fund my cars and my garage as well as funding the Michiru game and character project<\/a>.
There are many options for a JDM experience. Most rentals and tours are Chinese operated or operated by coorporations such as Liberty Walk. These tours are great but it is a tour. You are driving in a borrowed car with a hired driver on minimum salary with no knowledge or insight in to the car scene.
I am the last real “car guy” not swallowed up or bulllied out.
All the tours from different operators are basically the same but I have a much lower running cost. No staff. My cars a mine and all paid. My garage is mine and all paid \ud83d\ude09
All cars are fully insured for guests and liability.
TeamOpenTours<\/strong> is a Japan registered company and we are members of JAF (Japan road rescue service).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are high performance cars and need service from time to time. They are available 11 out of the 12 months. Please aks for availability if you MUST<\/strong> drive in a specific car.
The 4-5pm weekend trips do NOT stop at Tokyo Tower due to the heavy traffic in the city. Instead we stay longer at Dakoku.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started JDM related tours in 2016. I know who is who and who is not on the scene. I have build up great friendships and I am well respected by the people who know me and my story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is not a tour. I consider this an experience. A tour is in a tour car with a tour guide.
I believe I differ from that. You get a trip with a person that has been active more than a decade on the Japanese car scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a \u201ccar guy\u201d experience. It is not a Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift experience. This is more of an in-depth introduction to the car scene and life in Japan. My trips are the same as the flashy tours but I do not make promises I cannot keep. I will try my best to let you know you are in a supercar and still have a safe drive. I know a lot about the scene and Tokyo in general.
Take this trip if you want to know the car scene, have questions about anything Japanese, I have a big family and have experienced all aspects of Japanese life over the last 30 years. I got my first car in Japan, an Infinity in the early 2000s (A gift to the family from the Nissan CEO at the time) and had plenty since. I have expanded my garage and collection since then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The F&F Tokyo Drift tours do exist. They are highly illegal and can not be booked with normal suppliers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When should you go?<\/strong>
The Tokyo car scene is big. The best time to go in my opinion are weekday nights, 7pm or 10pm. Fridays and Saturday 4-5pm is the busiest. The nights will be overcrowded and shut down.
Often tours are ending up in a jam and never coming in. Thats why I leave early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 10pm trips are usually only locals and very few to no tourists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 7pm will have other tours and these cars are also nice with plenty of Fast & Furious flavour with replicas and underglow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want the best variety come Saturday or Sunday daytime or early afternoon. 4-5pm trips. That is when the rare and expensive cars are out. This is the real car lover’s trip. No underglow but lots of rare cars and collectibles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will I really be driving in a Stage 3 R-35?<\/strong>
So, I know a lot of the tours offer some very sweet rides but they take on bookings and then find cars. If the Skylines are booked you might end up five sweaty guys in a Subaru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have the two R-35\/86 and when they are booked I am sold out. I do not call my cousin and ask him to bring his beat up STI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No Profit ? Are you insane ?<\/strong>
The cars belong to me and are all registered in my name in my company. We are a registered tour company belonging to me and my wife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have cars worth over 60 million yen and it will take many tours to pay that off. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We do not take any salary from this and the money coming in all goes to tax,insurance, maintenance and above mentioned.

We both retired early and make profit from other endeavours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

..But we do get to own and drive some sweet rides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why is there a Fortnite character on the cars ?<\/strong>
There isn’t. Michiru is our inhouse character. She is now being featured in video games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When is the drift ?<\/strong>
<\/strong>Not on my trips. I know other trips promise this and that. It will never happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will we race other cars ?<\/strong>
Will I risk my license and go to jail ? No. I will not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can I drive your cars ?<\/strong>
No.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
